The French Tarte

Sunday morning at The French Tarte,
jewel of the Stirling Market

This morning Alice and I got up early for the year's last Stirling Market. We made a beeline for our favourite stall, The French Tarte. Always the first to boast a queue, the patisserie is all-over eye candy, with its brown paper packages, chocolate panforte, lolly boats and hessian bunting. Today I loved its signposts to christmas - perfectly stacked boxed mince pies and fruit cakes tied with red and white twine.
